I created a special dried flower wreath for a grieving family recently and was struck by the importance of the meaning of the flowers I used. Referencing my copy of The Posy Book by Teresa Sabankaya, which shares meanings of many flowers, put my heart at ease. Dried/everlasting/preserved flowers seemed a perfect fit for this special wreath, having lived in abundance and now enjoying a new life in a different form. They match our own journey of life to death, I think.
