About our Farm

Daisies in May Flower Farm is a parterre-style sanctuary in south Spokane, Washington, growing seasonal annuals, biennials, perennials, flowering shrubs, and veggies (over 130 varieties and counting).  Bees, birds, bugs…and hopefully no snakes… flock to our transformed land.

Harvest begins in April with heirloom narcissus and fancy, frilly double tulips.  Peonies join the show in June along with hardy and tender annuals.  Dahlias and lisianthus grace us with abandon from July to first fall frost.  From asters to zinnias, our favorite flower is the last one picked, but we’re suckers for textural, distinctive blooms that transform a wedding bouquet, dining table centerpiece, or office reception desk.

“Daisies in May” is a tribute to our sweet Westie pup companions, Daisy and Mae, who loved digging in the dirt right along with us.  It’s also a play on really understanding flower seasonality as Daisies do not bloom here in May…

From a weedy field to new ecosystem brimming with life, Daises in May Flower Farm gives us hope for our earth and front row seat to nature every day.  Thanks for visiting us here and supporting Spokane small business. Our farm is not open to the public, so please follow along on Instagram (@daisies.in.may), and inquire here for wedding, everyday, event, and memorial flower needs.

Sustainability Charter

Sustainability is the core of Daisies in May Flower Farm and Florist.  We grow our own flowers and when other stems are needed, seek to source them locally and regionally.  Our focus on seasonality and native plants produces stunning flowers in a range of colors, sizes, and textures that define eastern Washington and north Idaho.  We avoid pesticides, chemicals, dyed or painted flowers.  We compost green waste, re-use cardboard and packaging, and recycle.  Avoiding plastics and petroleum-based products is important, especially single-use items.  Our farm produces more energy than it uses with solar panels, hybrid vehicle, and water monitoring.  Stewarding our land with no-till farming practice, planting native trees, shrubs, and perennials is a priority for our home, neighborhood, and wildlife habitat.
